Jewish Business Leaders
Focus Areas
Members are suggested to participate in 3 areas of focus (2 of 3 are required):
- Resource Groups: Small groups of approximately 8-10 members gather regularly (at least 10 times per year) to discuss individual business issues, learn and study relevant topics together, and provide advice, guidance, and council to other members of their resource group. Confidentiality, attendance, professionalism, and open-mindedness are essential components to the resource groups.
- Educational Forums: Several times per year, educational events will be held for the entire Jewish Business Leaders membership and occasionally to the general public, if appropriate. Business leaders, educators, political figures, newsmakers and other prominent individuals and groups will be invited to speak to the group. Most of these events will be small, intimate, and interactive forums where members can speak directly to the speaker(s), and valuable discussion can take place.
- Philanthropic Opportunities: Members are required to be an active contributor to the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit, the organizations sponsor. In addition, through the Federation, members will be advised and encouraged to participate in other philanthropic opportunities. Participation in at least one volunteer event per year is required. Members recognize that these kinds of opportunities are good for our community, our businesses, and our organization and reflect our strong desire to give back to the community that serves us so well.
